A Report on 2016 ASLA Advocacy Day
ASLA-MN joined other chapters from across the country on May 19th to advocate on Capitol Hill on issues important to landscape architects. Our group met with staff members of our senators and representatives of two districts to raise the visibility of what landscape architects do and how our work adds value to our communities. We urged passage of the National Park Service Centennial Challenge legislation and promoted green infrastructure in transportation projects. Everyone we met is interested in touring local projects to see firsthand the benefits of green infrastructure! Now, we need your help. If you have a site that we should consider visiting, let us know. Contact Carmen Simonet, firstname.lastname@example.org or 651.695.0273.
