Job Openings

The Department of Landscape Architecture is currently accepting applications for adjunct faculty for Spring 2018 and the following academic year.

MnDOT is now seeking position descriptions for Summer 2018 Planning Internships. The Planning Internship Program adds value to MnDOT’s planning efforts, and develops the next generation of planning professionals. Consider hosting an intern this summer in your office or district.

Program Information (additional information in downloadable files files below)
Internships will be available for up to a 12-week, full-time appointment with flexible start dates and schedules. Positions are currently being solicited from districts and modal offices. Interns will be paid $18.66 per hour (Step 5 on the Temporary Planner position sequence). Intern salaries will be covered by host offices; the estimated cost for 12 weeks of full time work at the rate quoted above is $9,000. It is possible the rate will increase by 2%, but that is dependent on the contract’s approval by the full legislature sometime after their return in February.

Logistical Information
The internship program will be administered by the Office of Transportation System Management. I will be available to help interested districts and offices with the development of position descriptions and application materials. Positions will be advertised on the Planning and Programming website and sent to employee networks via email. Graduate students are preferred; however, undergraduates may also be considered depending on qualifications.

To participate, districts and offices are asked to submit their position descriptions (in downloadable files below) by December 1st to Siri Simons (siri.simons@state.mn.us).
