• 09/17/2017 EC Vote:  A budget is reviewed and approved annually at the beginning of each year.  Once the budget is approved, deviations in excess of $500.00 must be brought to the Executive Committee for discussion and approval.


  • All official correspondence, payments, and other business matters conducted on behalf of ASLA-MN should be directed to ASLA-MN’s headquarters rather than volunteers’ places of business or homes.


  • The official reimbursement request form must accompany all requests for reimbursement.  Click here to download.  Receipts must be attached.  Forms and receipts can be submitted via regular mail or via e-mail.  If by way of e-mail, please send to the Executive Director and copy the Treasurer.  Reimbursement requests received via e-mail are processed within 2-3 business days. Reimbursement requests received via regular mail may take longer since mail is picked up and processed approximately once every 1-2 weeks.


  • Regular meetings are covered under the current insurance policy administered by the national office.  Additional coverage may be required for events that aren't considered regular.  Check with the Executive Director before proceeding to confirm.  Certificates of insurance for events are only needed when a third party asks for proof of coverage.  The name of the Chapter shown on the certificate request form should be the legal name of the chapter which is currently the Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
  • If an event takes place at a private residence, the address will only be made public with the approval of the the homeowner.  Otherwise, the Executive Director or an appropriate volunteer will send the address in a follow-up e-mail.
